The External Applicant Portal is built-into the Healthcare Jobs Portal and provides the backbone for accepting paperless online job applications for every position across your company.

External applicants (those not currently working for your facility and those working PRN but eligible for permanent placement) first create a password-protected account. Once inside, the applicant is presented with up to twenty categories of questions - all carefully chosen by the facility.

As each category of questions is complete, watchdog alerts check to ensure all required questions are answered. If complete, the applicant proceeds to the next question category. Applicants will recognize the status of each section by a green checkmark that is clearly visible in the menu next to each competed grouping.

Only after all required questions after answered may an applicant "post" for open or future positions. With a single click, you can designate whether applicants can apply for open positions only, or whether they can also post for position "pools" to be reviewed when a position does come available.

Additionally, applicants can request the Portal notify them when a position that matches their desires is added by the facility. This not only keeps you in frequent contact with the applicant pool, but also results in a greater number of applicants for each position from which to choose.

The External Applicant Portal includes five separate application types, although most facilities only use three (Licensed, Support, and Maintenance-Grounds-Transportation). You have complete control over the five application types and can ask/require different questions of each. Some facilities have added volunteer, PRN, and food service workers as additional application types.
